Two basic configurations are offered push around or self propelled units. All are powered either by an on-board battery pack with integral charger or, on some push around models, by AC mains supply.

Safety interlocks prevent elevation of push around models unless outriggers or brake have been properly set . The Lift / Lower function is controlled by the operator from the platform. At ground level an independent manual descent valve allows controlled descent in the event of power loss.
